Crock Pot Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 1 small green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 15 ounce can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 15 ounce can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 28 ounce can crushed tomatoes (or diced if you like the chunks)
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

Instructions

  • Cook the first 3 ingredients in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up the meat crumbles and cooking until the meat is no longer pink; drain. Place the meat mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker and stir in the beans. Add the tomatoes and the seasoning. Cook on HIGH for 3 hours or LOW for 5-6 hours.
